MISSED LESSON POLICY

Missed Lesson Policy

At Yodelay Music, we value the time and dedication of our teachers while striving to maintain a sustainable and reliable service for all families. This policy is designed to ensure the stability of our teachers' income and the financial health of the business.

General Policy for Missed Lessons

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson for any reason, Yodelay Music is not obligated to issue a refund, provide a make-up lesson, or carry forward lesson credits to the next term, even with prior notice of the absence. However, our teachers will make every effort to organise a catch-up lesson during the term. Due to the busy nature of our schedules and limited availability, we cannot guarantee that this will always be possible.

Missed Lessons in School Programs

We understand that the school environment is dynamic and can make scheduling challenging due to events like camps, excursions, and other activities. To account for this, in a standard ten-week term, parents will only be charged for nine lessons, offering a built-in allowance for one missed lesson per term. Additionally, our teachers aim to accommodate a catch-up session for one more missed lesson within the term. If a student misses more than two lessons in a term, Yodelay Music will not provide further credits, make-up lessons, or reimbursements for these additional absences.

Teacher Cancellations

In the rare event that a Yodelay Music teacher cancels a lesson due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will ensure a catch-up lesson is scheduled or provide a refund or credit toward the following term.

Planned Absences

If you are aware of an upcoming trip or family holiday that will significantly impact your lessons during the term, please notify us in advance. We will do our best to work out a suitable arrangement regarding term fees.
